For those of you who have been following my journey, you might be familiar with my psychospiritual counseling training, a transformative experience rooted in a four-year program called Helix, located in the heart of NYC. Despite its longstanding history since the 1980s, my class, graduating in 2007, marked the end of an era as the founders decided not to accept any more students, preserving the organization but halting new admissions.
Fast forward to 2024, and I was thrilled to announce that destiny had unfolded in a remarkable way. Alongside two of my fellow Helix classmates, we were given the reins of this extraordinary organization. Together, as Directors and Teachers, we've committed ourselves to breathe new life into the Helix Institute & Healing Collective.
After thoughtful deliberations, we've charted an exciting course for the future. The Helix Training Program is set to relaunch as a dynamic 3-year experience, primarily online with immersive in-person opportunities. We are accepting applications and targeting a relaunch in 2025. Leading up to this, we are dedicated to fostering a vibrant Helix Healing Collective community through the Circle platform, social media and various online programs.
So, what exactly is the Helix Training Program? Both the Helix Institute & Healing Collective (HIHC) and the Helix Training Program (HTP) are officially recognized as 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. HIHC serves as a non-denominational church that ordains our practitioners giving them legal rights to practice as pastoral counselors, while the HTP is a sister organization that trains practitioners.
I speak from experience when I say Helix is a unique and transformative journey that blends psychological awareness, spiritual practice, and holistic healing modalities. This journey culminates in individuals fully equipped to thrive in all aspects of their lives, including as psychospiritual counselors should they choose that path.
If you would like to support us on this mission, we would greatly appreciate it! There are a few ways you can do so:
You can go to our website and sign up for news on the upcoming courses.
You can follow Helix Healing Collective on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn and engage and share posts.
Also, since both organizations are non-profits, we are set up to take donations. Donations can be given by emailing here.
We have set up a scholarship fund in the name of one of our highly regarded teachers: The Susan Lemak Scholarship Fund. This fund will support those who are called to this path but have financial considerations that stop them. If you'd like to donate to The Susan Lemak Fund specifically, please email us and let us know.
In whatever way you choose to support me and my life's work, I am truly grateful.
