HANDMADE jewelry

SHIVA. DURGA. GANESHA.

Three Hindu Deities are featured for this pendant debut. Large Pendants are 1 3/4" x 2 3/8". Small pendants are 1 1/8" x 1 5/8". Price: Large $80...now $70, Small $40...now $30 (plus shipping)

Large pendants are handmade in India from heavy weight unpolished 95% pure silver with an inlay of precious stone. Black onyx, blue lapis lazuli, coral or turquois are crushed to powder texture and mixed with a bit of resin to fill the inlay design.

The small pendants are hand etched with the same design. All pendants have corresponding Sanskrit mantras etched on back, calling forth the energy that each deity embodies. The cord is made of vegan leather sourced from Jaipur with a silver bead to allow for length adjustment.

I commissioned the artwork from Australian artist Jas Pearson and the pendants are locally produced by Magica Jewelry in Auroville, India. I've brought a limited amount of pendants on this first run so if I run out I will order more to be made. Contact me to purchase.

SHIVA

Shiva, represented by the Trishula, is an embodiment of strength and fortitude, one-pointed focus, and the power to destroy in a blink of an eye which then leads to transformation. Shiva can also be described as Consciousness itself, all-pervasive awareness. Shiva requires the energy of Shakti, represented by the mala beads here, for animation and embodiment. The large pendants have either black onyx or lapis lazuli stone inlays, and the small pendants are hand etched. The mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” is etched on the back in Sanskrit, calling forth the qualities of Shiva.

DURGA

Durga represents fierce compassion in feminine form. She is Shakti energy: righteous and benevolent, even in her destruction. She embodies discernment with the power of fire to purify. The large pendants have black onyx with coral in the 3rd eye inlays, and the small pendants are hand etched. The mantra “Om Dum Durgayei Namaha” is etched on the back in Sanskrit, calling forth the qualities of Durga.

GANESHA

Ganesha represents warrior energy, a remover of obstacles, a patron of the arts, new beginnings, and intelligence. He reminds us to enjoy worldly pleasures while not identifying or clinging to them. Large pendants have either black onyx or turquoise inlays, and the small pendants are hand etched. The mantra “Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha” is etched on the back in Sanskrit, calling forth the qualities of Ganesha.

10% of all profits from the pendant sales will be donated to GiveIndia.org . GiveIndia’s vision is to alleviate poverty by enabling the world to give. Their mission began in 2000 and has been of even more importance since the pandemic hit India in 2020. India COVID Response Fund (ICRF) is best described as a giving collective that enables both individuals and organizations to respond together to COVID. They relaunched ICRF in March 2021, in response to the grave second wave of COVID to support gaps in healthcare and other critical needs.

In making this jewelry I want to acknowledge the origins of Sanskrit, the mantras, and the Deities that I use. I honor and respect the Indian culture from which this originates and am grateful for the wisdom sharing. My aim in sharing this engraved jewelry with others around the world is to spread the wisdom and sacred energy that each symbol holds. The donation back to India is in gratitude and appreciation.
